The Pike Area Youth Athletic League is a non-profit organization for youth football and cheerleading. Serving the tri-state areas of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, P.A.Y.A.L. aims to inspire the youth of our local community and surrounding areas, and to practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship and physical fitness.
The specific objectives of our program are: to familiarize all participants with the fundamentals of football and cheerleading; to provide an opportunity to participate in a supervised, organized, and safety oriented manner; and to keep the welfare of particpants free of any adult ambitions and personal glory.

To all going to the Penn State game we will have a meeting next week to go over the trip, hand out tickets, parking passes and try to lay out the trip. I still do not have any times yet. I am working on this. This meeting will be mandatory for all the parents or guardians going. The kids need not to attend. Location and time to be determined shortly. If you have not paid yet all money is due this weekend. Please catch me at the field.

Penn State Football - Youth Football Day Info

The Penn State Football Youth Football & Cheer/Dance Day is almost here, and I'm sure those of you that will be joining us for the game and festivities are just as excited as we are! Complete game day activities are as follows:

Youth Football Day

Will include a pre-game clinic / combine-style event at Holuba Hall. Youth football players ages 12 and under are invited to attend. Registration will begin 4 hours prior to kick off with check-in and t-shirt distribution. The clinic will begin 3 hours before kickoff and last for about an hour. After the clinic, participants will walk to Beaver Stadium and participate in a pre-game Youth Football parade around the outside of the field in Beaver Stadium. After the parade, attendees will be encouraged to go to their seats to watch the remainder of pre-game ceremonies.  The team who brings the most people will get to choose up to 40 youth football players to hold a large American flag over the north end zone during the National Anthem. That team will meet a ticket sales representative 40 minutes prior to kick off. They will enter the field and participate in the National Anthem roughly 15 minutes prior to kick off. They will be field-side to watch the away team enter the stadium after the Anthem and then be escorted off their field and encouraged to go to their seats.

During the game, each Youth Football organization will be recognized on the scoreboard during our group ticket welcomes in the third quarter. The League who brings the most people will be able to participate in a post-game stadium photo.

All clinic participants must fill out a medical form to participate. The deadline to order tickets and submit medical forms is November 17th.

Cheer/Dance Day

Will include a pre-game clinic with the Penn State Cheer Team at Holuba Hall. There are no age restrictions on the Cheer Clinic because cheerleading is not a recruit-able sport. Registration will begin 4 hours prior to kick off with check-in and pom pom distribution. The clinic will begin 3 hours before kickoff and last for about an hour. After the clinic, participants will walk to Beaver Stadium and perform the routine they learned at Holuba Hall on the field in Beaver Stadium.

During the game, each Cheer and Dance organization will be recognized on the scoreboard during our group ticket welcomes in the third quarter. The Organization who brings the most people will be able to participate in a post-game stadium photo.

All clinic participants must fill out a medical form to participate. The deadline to order tickets and submit medical forms is November 17th.

Penn State game update

We have lowered the cost of the bus for the Penn State Game. It's now $20.00 per person. We hope this may help people who have expressed the feeling it was too much if you had a larger number of people going. If you paid already you will receive a refund on the bus the day of the game. Please let me know ASAP if you would like to take the bus now.

Just so everyone knows we are NOT taking school a school bus this is a charter bus with bathrooms and movies on board.
